Porepunkah Pines Holiday Park

The best place to stay

Welcome to our Caravan Park

Porepunkah Pines Holiday Park is located in the Victorian Alpine Region, on the Great Alpine Road, backing onto the Ovens River, only 3kms from Bright.

The Bright region is a popular tourist destination for holidays, relaxing, exploring and spending time with family and friends in the outdoors. Come and experience our caravan park and the beautiful surrounding area of Porepunkah and Bright. There are activities for all to enjoy and many places to explore all within a 30 minute radius of Porepunkah Pines Holiday Park at Porepunkah.

Let the holiday park be your base to enjoy the surrounding area and activities from elite cycling up the three peaks, to the more relaxed kind, like a leisurely walk or ride along the Rail Trail to Bright or Wine Tasting at nearby Feathertop or Ringer Reef Winery. Enjoy the snow fields in winter, the blissful weather and spectacular leaf colours in autumn, the solar heated swimming pool with kids water play feature and the Ovens River in summer.

You will be at the heart of cycling heaven during your stay at Porepunkah Pines Holiday Park. The caravan park’s central location to the three peaks; Mt Buffalo, Mt Hotham, Mt Bogong (Falls Creek) allows you to take the challenge of conquering the three peaks.  For those looking for a more relaxed ride Electric Bikes are available to hire from several stores in Bright and are an enjoyable way to see more of the countryside.

Porepunkah Pines Holiday Park is a colourful caravan park situated on the Ovens River at the foot of Mount Buffalo. Only a 5 minute drive to Bright or a beautiful 25 minute ride along the scenic Rail Trail. We believe our Holiday Park has something to appeal to all tourists. Take a leisurely stroll along the river track to Porepunkah or cross the swing bridge to walk along the old bush walking track thru forgotten Chinese gold diggings to the Porepunkah golf course.

The region is well known not only for its stunning scenery and autumn colours, but also for its wine, beef and a wide variety of other produce including berries, apples, chestnuts, hops, olives and walnuts just to name a few. Sample the local produce at the region’s wineries, breweries, restaurants and fresh food markets. The kids can even pick their own berries at Bright Berry Farm in summer.

For the more adventurous try abseiling and hang gliding at Mount Buffalo, paragliding at Mystic Falls, white water rafting, mountain or trail bike riding or a tandem ultralight flight out of Bright.

Please do not hesitate to give us a call to help you choose your accommodation requirements for a fun packed Holiday break in our park; from budget accommodation to spa units, affordable houses and of course, bring your caravan or camper.

We are a short walk along the Ovens River to the Porepunkah Pub for a meal, Rail Trail Cafe for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and Punkah Pantry with an assortment of menu options together with a large variety of local produce.  Cook your own BBQ in the well-equipped camp kitchen. You can ride your bike on the rail trail to Bright without the worry of cars with the children, which is a flat ride around five kilometres away.
